Introducing Tala's Porcelain Bulbs

This week we've launched some new bulbs as part of our ever-growing product range - the Tala Porcelain bulb. 

With Tala's traditionally styled Gaia and Elva filament bulbs proving to be ever popular choices with our Tom Raffield Lighting Range we've sought to add some new blood to the collection in the form of Porcelain II and Porcelain III.

Behind the design

With a bold and compact aesthetic, each and every one of Tala's Porcelain Light Bulbs have been moulded from matte glass, individually mouth-blown and then sandblasted to create a smooth, silky to the touch finish.

All of the light bulbs belonging to the Porcelain collection have been covered in a phosphor coating to control the glare sometimes produced by filament bulbs -and produce a comfortable and soft, ambient white light.

Tala's Porcelain Light Bulb Range has been centred around four distinctive shapes: oval, triangle, square and circle giving them a fun, contemporary twist.

Designed to provide an antidote to an overly industrial aesthetic, Tala's contemporary Porcelain bulbs work well with bold colours and backgrounds, breaking up space and colour with calm orbs of white light.

 Porcelain III

Porcelain III produces a beautifully muted warm white light which diffuses really well in fittings that capacitate an exposed light bulb such as our Mooring and Wheal Floor Lights. The bulb still produces a high lumen output but does not emanate any glare that can sometimes be associated with traditional filament bulbs.

Porcelain II

Tala's Porcelain II LED light bulb (equivalent to 6 Watts) has all the same beauty and functionality as its big sister Porcelain III but on a more compact scale.
