Tala Bulbs
Sustainable, innovative and show stopping designs. Our relationship with Tala bulbs ticks all of the right boxes.
As relationships go, our partnership with Tala bulbs ticks all of the right boxes. That’s why we point you in their direction for show-stopping exposed bulbs to complement our lights like the Hanter Table Light (above) Kern Light (pictured below) and our Skipper and Butterfly pendants.
Based in East London, Tala is a young and upcoming British lighting brand with a mission to create exquisite products that have a positive impact on the world. Not only do their designs look beautiful, combining classic decorative qualities with industrial influences, but they share our passion for technology and sustainability.
Founded by four partners at The University of Edinburgh, Tala get excited about new materials and science. Their pioneering LEDs use up to 90% less energy than traditional incandescent light bulbs. But their approach is as much about emotion as it is function; lighting as an experience is the backbone of the Tala range. Quality handmade craftsmanship is central to everything that they do as each filament is still attached to Tala bulbs by hand.
Like us at Tom Raffield, when you purchase a Tala bulb you’re also investing in a sustainable ethos. All our timber comes from sustainably managed woodlands where more trees are planted than cut down. Likewise, Tala’s ten trees programme pledges that for every 200 units sold another 10 trees are planted. It collaborates with the Heart England Forest, a charity that plants, protects and preserves a broadleaf forest in the middle of England, to make their products carbon negative.
You could call it a perfect partnership.
